I was thinking the same thing while reading it. A friend of mine, a real country-boy hunter sort, wouldn&#039;t eat chicken for years after doing a construction job at a chicken meat plant. He said live chickens were in tiny cages with their wings and legs hanging out and breaking off as the cages were thrown on top of each other.

We don&#039;t like for it to happen to dogs because they&#039;re smart and cute, but it isn&#039;t any picnic for any animal in the factory farm life. As long as we routinely treat animals cruelly in the name of making a buck, it&#039;s going to be difficult to put a stop to instances like these.</description>
