Cool video, but I’m not swayed. I do agree that there IS a global warming going on…but don’t agree that humans are the cause. Now, can we prevent further global warming by taking action to reduce our Human Impact..it’ll make us feel good..but in the end, It’s all up to our Solar Power source. He/She/Whatever you wanna call it is the ultimate reason why we are experiencing a global warming..and the reason why this planet has experienced cool periods (Ice Ages)..who was driving the SUV’s who ended that Last Ice Age???

I think you’re missing the point. He’s basically plotting out what is the worst case scenario vs best case scenario….

Thanks for posting on my blog, Marti! I followed your link, and ended up here. It’s an eminently reasonable argument, and I’ll link to it in my next entry.

Again, thank you for posting this; I want everyone to see it. Especially the Presidential candidates.

    SD Mark:

Let us say that the Earth’s climate can handle a 10% increase in average temperatures without catastrophic changes occurring. Furthermore, let us grant you that the Sun is a partial cause and is contributing 5% and that our green-house emissions contribute x%. We know that x is a positive number. Do you really wish to do nothing? Can you guarantee that x is something below 5%?

I for one am not prepared to take that risk, especially when we know that climate change *is* going on right now and that we *do* contribute something towards that.
