Now For A Lovely Bit of Stalker Transphobia

I got this via my website IM client, Meebo:

meeboguest719485: Thank you for showing me who you really are. Sorry you came to the conclusion that I was crazy. I was codependent and going through a difficult time. I wish you could spend a couple of years with my ex and really get to know her. Is it true that you have the most womanly prostrate ever? How does it feel to know you will always be a mutilated man? The defenition of an addiction is any activity which has short term benefits and long term consequences. Truly, words have no power. Even though the mountain becomes the sea, Words cannot open another’s mind. No matter where you go, there you are.

    Hi Marti,

Thanks for stopping by Revolution is Not A Dinner Party and leaving your comments. I read your post, “Being Me” and was struck by what you wrote; it sounds a lot like me.

I also believe that one falls in love with one’s essence and not their gender. And that in the past, monogamy has been approached as a necessity or as a tool for survival. This touches on the themes of ownership, jealousy, insecurity ect… as you said in your post.

The point being, we can never own anyone else or control another (even if we think we do!), and any effort to do so is futile. I think at the heart of failed attempts at monogamy lies the issue of abandonment. When one experiences abandonment of a higher power, parental figures, friends, or significant others, monogamy (or serial monogamy) acts as buffer from experiencing this very real human emotion by creating a sense of false security.

My own failed attempts at monogamy have brought me back to square one, right where I started. Somebody once told me that life was about learning to be alone. Although I agree with this, I don’t advocate this view for all people. For some, life is about learning to co-exist peacefully with others. I guess I’m somewhere in between.

As I mentioned before on my previous post I’m “straddling the middle line” again. Heh. And you’re probably right; maybe my bi-card should be revoked for this- although I don’t think that’d stop me from joining the party. Thanks for the thought-provoking comments, please stop by my blog anytime. ~Sally Sunshine

It rained “liquid sunchine” here in San Diego today. Tomorrow though, Weather.com says it’s supposed to be 65°F and sunny (as in now further liquid sunshine). :|

Umm…Sorry. Just had to point that out. ;)
